What is a CSA?
First and foremost Community Supported Agriculture is an investment. You are investing in your food and the person who grows it. The up-front payment is “seed money” and helps the farmer (us) to predict what we need to plant to meet the investors’ (your) needs. The return on our investment (you-money, me-work) is the flowers, vegetables and herbs harvested.
This investment supports a type of farming that seeks to improve the soil and diversify species. Because of the commitment this kind of agriculture takes, we are asking you to support us with an investment into our vision. This investment's return is flowers and/or food in the form of a diverse array of vegetables, herbs and eventually fruits and nuts. As you continue to invest year to year you will see berries, nuts and grains available.
